The Stakes, Ben Sanders : Book Review
Whilst Ben Sanders has written 4 books previous to this, this is the first book from this author that I have read. Whilst I generally prefer books that aren’t so action focussed, I do sometimes enjoy the more Lee Child or Harlan Coben action infused crime novels, and I will readily agree that this book kept me entertained from the get go. The Stakes is a fast paced, suspenseful novel that keeps you reading from page 1. I felt some of the twists were predictable, however, this did not stop me reading as fast as I could, and I’m happy to recommend this book to anyone who loves a…

Book Review : Every Dark Corner – Karen Rose
Every Dark Corner Synopsis: When FBI Special Agent Griffin ‘Decker’ Davenport wakes from a coma, he immediately thinks of two things: first, the ring of human traffickers he’s spent the past three years undercover to bring down was just the tip of the iceberg; second, the brown eyes he sees upon waking belong to a woman he trusts to help him finish the job he started. Decker’s new revelation is her worst nightmare – one of the traffickers’ customers is acquiring teens…

Favourite Books for June 2016
Books have always been a big part of my kids lives, so it’s only natural that book reviews become part of the imnotsupermum blog 🙂 Almost every night, both kids get a bedtime book read to them by DH. For the moment, it’s one book for both of them with each picking the book every alternate night (unless they’re being ultra disagreeable then DH or I pick), which means we should get through around 25 books at bedtime a month! It would be 25 different books but as anyone with kids knows it’s usually 1 book 25 times! Sigh. So for the first reviews for our bedtime book series, these…

Adventures with Daddy – Book Review
Adventures with Daddy is a cute book about a young boy and the adventures he goes on with daddy. The book is told from the point of view of the child, which makes for quite funny reading for both kids and parents 🙂 It’s a good book to discuss with the kids what’s going on, as the illustrations were easy for them to understand. Adventures with Daddy is an easy read for both my toddler and preschooler, and is just the right length to hold the toddlers attention 🙂 Both DH and I love the end of the book, and it rightly depicts what happens in our household after a…

We’re Going on a Bear Hunt – Book Review
Books have always been a big part of my kids lives, starting from a very young age. We’re going on a bear hunt was the first bedtime book ever bought for Master A. Well actually it was bought by myself for DH as his first Father’s Day present, as he remembered reading it as an older kid. From about 3 months old, it was the only bedtime book that Master A had. As he grew older and could say more words, he would join in with daddy to make the various sounds in the book (talk about heart melting cuteness 😍). The book starts with a family going on a…
